Over the last couple of years Varit has become my favourite venue in Japan.
The staff are wonderful, The sound is great and I wrote one of my strongest new songs whilst sleeping in the venue a year back.

The manager Wax has become a good friend and he even stayed with me a while when touring the UK with his band in 2010.

My show was a nice mix of new and old and it was a real treat to have Yuske on the drums for final tune `You Know the Score`. His style and technique is one of a kind and his Rhythm has a jazz shuffle to it that I can`t get enough of.

Another thing that was interesting to the evening was that the headline band were using an instrument that at this point of typing is a one of a kind.
It`s called a Violafonand is being pushed for mass production in the next year.

I had a chance to play one back stage and found it very easy to adjust to. I`d love to invest in one if only I could afford it.Sponsorship anyone 🙂

Thanks Stuart !
I hope to see your great performance soon in Japan or UK !
