Setlist:- (PLEASE CLICK THE SONGS FOR LINKS TO THE STUDIO RECORDINGS)

Alaskan Sky, Blind Faith, Headlights, Before You Very Eyes (Atoms For Peace Cover), Results Are Classified, Modern Life, Ons, Initiate, As Stubborn As A Sandfly, Varit, Watching Paint

It was a busy day for me as there was first of all a Radio Session in Perugia at the student run station Radio Phonica.

The full session/interview can be seen and heard here:

(worth noting from this session was the performance of ‘Time Lost Tradition’ – a tune very rarely played live)

From there I head onto the venue in Perugia with my food friend and tour manager Andrea.

Not before we stop off for coffee of course 🙂

The venue was a very small space with many people tightly packed in. I felt I played well and managed to win over the initially apathetic crowd. Early tune ‘Blind Faith’ made a sneak return to the set and the Atoms for Peace cover served Andrea with a smile.

It’s an odd thing to know when one is nearing the end of 15 months on the road. This was that time for me. From here I would play a couple more Italy shows and then head to South Korea before calling a needed break to the road time.

But for now it was about enjoying the things the road was providing me with. For me tonight that was a vast array of beers. 🙂

Onwards the tour heads up into the mountains for my 3rd year in a row visiting the sleepy town of Orvieto. Returning to this town holds special memories for me of some of the friendliest people and most supportive audiences I have performed to.

Upon arrival to the venue I am educated on some traditional Italian musical heroes like this guy.

Then I got on with playing some tunes.

The venue was once again busy and bustling and it was fantastic to see familiar faces from shows past.

My Set list was once again calling from material across the last 7 years on the road dating back to my 2006 album release ‘Autonomous Debut’.

I was also once again on hand with my Kerouac which I was halfway through reading.

On the whole I felt a positive reaction from the audience once again and found myself talking to people well beyond the time that I should and then having to rush to pack all the equipment away before the venue closed.

My thanks go to Radio Orvieto for all their support and for recording and broadcasting my performances at Magazzino and to Riccardo Bianchi for Capturing these images of the concert.

Also to the lovely local hosts who got me drunk 😛

Before the show we got drunk and I was perhaps a little too confessional. Damn alcohol. There I am clutching to it with deep love for the Italian Red Wine.
